About
A longtime visual artist, Ruth Rohrer brings more than technical expertise and a keen eye for composition to portrait photography. An outgoing personality enables her to connect with people and put them at ease in front of the camera, and working with photographer Ryan Hulvat at ArtsQuest’s Faces of the SouthSide project further honed her skills. While portraiture subjects range from newborns to seniors and even dogs – Rohrer serves as the official photographer for Hounds on Working Leases, a nonprofit organization that provides bulletproof vests for police dogs – her specialty is boudoir photography, with a focus on the playfully sexy styles of 1940s pin-up art. As the co-owner of an exotic lingerie shop, Rohrer has also had years of experience in assisting women with intimate apparel – which enables her to help them feel comfortable and shed any feelings of self-consciousness. A portrait session with Rohrer allows you to explore how you wish to seen, and to enjoy every moment of the creative endeavor.
